The mid-term evaluation meeting of the project "Key Technologies for Cultivating Large Varieties of Pediatric Fupi Granules for Children" was held smoothly in Time Sunshine Pharmaceutical Industry

      On the morning of September 23, 2017, the mid-term evaluation meeting of Hunan strategic emerging industry science and technology project "Key Technologies Research on Large Variety Cultivation of Pediatric Drug Pediatric Fupi Granules" was held in Changsha Marketing Center of Times Sunshine Pharmaceutical Industry. Several experts in traditional Chinese medicine preparation, pediatric digestive medicine and relevant leaders of Hunan Food and Drug Administration, ECC and the Department of Science and Technology were invited to attend the meeting.

      At the meeting, Dr. Wei Junying, director and associate researcher of Integrative Pharmacognosy Laboratory, Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences, presented a report on "Research on Precision Drug Use of Xiaoer Fupi Granules Based on Integrative Biomarkers".

"Xiaoer Fupi Granule helps to promote gastric emptying, increase secretion of gastrin, motilin, amylase, and regulate the function of some important gastrointestinal peptides, so as to promote calcium absorption."

     The pharmacodynamic experiment of Xiaoer Fupi Granule, also carried out by the Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, was completed in February this year. Dr. Li Hongmei, deputy director of the Research and Development Center of New Chinese Medicine, Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, led the analysis of the results.

"Xiaoer Fupi Granule has obvious promoting effect on small intestinal propulsion and gastrointestinal hormone secretion in mice."

        In order to further verify the safety of the products, TIANGYANG Pharmaceutical Industry and Hunan Pharmaceutical Safety Evaluation Research Center signed the "Toxicological Research Contract for Young Animals of Pediatric Fupi Granules". Jiang Dejian, director of the safety evaluation center, announced the results at the meeting.

"No pathological changes of toxic effect of repeated administration of Xiaoer Fupi Granule for 3 months on young SD rats were found, which verified the safety of Xiaoer Fupi Granule."

       One of the sub-projects of the project, "Study on the process optimization and quality standard system of Xiaoer Fupi Granules" was carried out by Hunan Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Gong Nianchun, a member of the research group, reported on the stage study of product preparation improvement process.

"At present, we have completed the research on the forming process of different kinds and dosages of excipients, and carried out quality comparison research for different samples."

      Professor Yang Hongjun, researcher of Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Secretary-General of the Alliance of Large Varieties of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Chief Scientist of Time Sunshine Pharmaceutical Industry, made a summary of the mid-term evaluation of the project.

"We are based on the strategy of'high-level grafting', which combines the technological upgrading of Xiaoer Fupi Granule with the frontier of science and technology. The results are very exciting, which lays a foundation for the further exploration of clinical precise application of integrated markers as indicators."

       Doctors and experts from clinical and scientific research institutions of hospitals exchanged views. Du Shouying, professor, doctoral supervisor and chairman of the Department of Pharmaceutics, Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, is a well-known expert on traditional Chinese medicine preparations in China. Professor Du believes that more attention should be paid to the collection of scientific data and quantitative evaluation indicators. Ouyang Hongjuan, the chief physician of digestive medicine in Hunan Children's Hospital, talked about her experience in clinical medication. She believed that Xiaoer Fupi Granule had a good effect on infantile anorexia, anorexia and indigestion. Based on the experience of clinical use, it was suggested that the treatment course should be longer and the effect was more obvious.

    Researchers from the Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, who participated in this project, respectively elaborated the next research plan and research focus of Xiaoer Fupi Granules from their respective professional perspectives.

      Relevant leaders of Hunan Food and Drug Administration, Economic and Credit Commission and Science and Technology Department attended the meeting and made speeches. Liang Yiheng, a member of the Party and deputy director of Hunan Food and Drug Administration, combined with rich experience in tackling key scientific and technological projects, provided valuable guidance for the follow-up development of this project. Director Li Runlun of Science and Technology Department of Hunan Economic and Informatization Commission reviewed the application process of the project and affirmed the importance and investment of sunshine pharmaceutical industry in the scientific and technological factors of products. Peng Zisheng, deputy director of the High-tech Development and Industrialization Department of Hunan Science and Technology Department, said that the Science and Technology Department would strive to provide good services for the projects of enterprises such as Time Sunshine Pharmaceutical Industry.

     At present, the key technology project of large variety cultivation of Pediatric Fupi Granule, a special drug for children, has progressed smoothly and achieved certain results. As the main body and supporting unit of the project, the Sunshine Pharmaceutical Industry of the Times will continue to make great efforts in the later stage. On the basis of fulfilling the requirements of the project, it will further tap the intrinsic value of the product and benefit more patients.
